My name is Justin Huynh (the artist behind MalacoArt or Malaco Po) and I was born 1999 in Ottawa. 14 moves and 2 city later, I have settled in Ontario where I work independently as a stay at home Artist, Illustrator, and Character Designer with a light background in animation. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but I decided to devote my life to art when I was 16.

I have the privilege to be a self taught artist, using the internet to help me learn and grow. My art gravitates towards a more eastern style, inspired by artists like かも仮面 (Sangsilnoh) and 海島千本 (Senbon Umishima) with some influences from animation studios such as Studio Ghibli and Kyoto Animation. Most of the illustrations I work on are attempts to push the boundaries of what I’m capable of.

If I could describe myself in two words they would be peaceful and progress. I’m all about making life more clear and easier through deliberate change and introspective practice.
